Mr. Northrop is the father of Flora Marie and Ruby Jane Northrop. Mr. Northrop was about his wife Frannie's age when he died. Mr. Northrop was remebered by his daughters Flora and Ruby as funny, smart and nice. These words were never said in the Main Street books but we know these facts by Flora feeling pained on Halloween thinking about how he liked the holiday even more than them because he would make kids surprised with new costumes. On christmas he would make oyster stew because his dad made it on christmas. Mr. Northrop quoted
